This series C funding will be utilized to beef up the research and development for robust monitoring of cloud networks and cloud computing services.
This was announced on Thursday, April 03, 2014, by Boundary, the real time cloud computing and network monitoring service provider company that, it has secured as much as $22 million to enhance its R&D and operation of the company services. It was further informed that the funding was snagged under Series C funding. The major financial investment was made by The Adam Streets Partners and the previous financial partners.
It was further informed that with this new round of funding, the company has invested as much as $38 million since its establishment in the year 2010.
It was further elaborated that the company plans to invest the major chunk of the money into the research and development of new technologies in monitoring the cloud computing services and platforms both in the private and public clouds. Meanwhile, the some part of the investment would be invested in the improvement of the existing service of cloud computing monitoring.
The sales and marketing is another area where the company wants to invest aggressively to make sure that the business growth of the company is not hindered by the competitiveness of the marketplace. While talking about the plans, the CEO of the company, Gary Read said, “The funding will be utilized in R&D teams at Silicon Valley and Austin,” he further added that, “The UK market will be focused for sales and marketing from this funding too.”
The official statement further explained that the company is aggressively eying on the development of the highly featured services to monitor the cloud computing services of different cloud providers to avert any kind of hidden bottlenecking and the hidden threats to smooth operation of the services.
It is important to note that the service offered by the Boundary provides updates to the customers on the basis of seconds to keep them updated about what is happening inside the network and cloud computing services. The service is already monitoring cloud resources of Amazon Web Services and Google Compute Engine. The company also claims that it is offering services to some of the reputed clients in the marketplace, such as – HCL Technologies, ZenDesk, Gilt, Heroku, Salesforce.com, Rackspace, Infor, Expedia and others.
