Stores Trying To Set Consumer Hearts On Fire

Published by Aydan Corkern in Culture and Society, 1 month 2 weeks 6 days 21 hours 16 minutes 14 seconds ago

If you have been in the stores lately, you will see that they are already setting up for Thanksgiving and Christmas as the season is just around the corner. But I think that they are going a little fast as most people don't even put up Christmas trees and have them lit up until the day after Thanksgiving. Christmas music won't be played until it's closer to the holiday.

The stores might want to start a fire in their shoppers, but right now this is only a small puff of smoke in most of our minds. We have too many other things to think about instead of the holidays and spending money that we don't have. It is this time of year that most people get in trouble with their credit card companies because they might try to charge too many items on their cards and then might not be able to pay for them.

So people are going to really watch what they spend this year in regards to Christmas. Maybe next year will be better financially for more people as we are going to have a new president who says that he will change this country for the better of us all. I'm hoping that this is true, but with the way our old president is leaving this country, it is going to take some time and a lot of patient from us.

In the eight years that we have had him as our president, he hasn't helped this country a bit as he has put this country in so much debt that it is going to take us years to ever see the light of day or the end of the tunnel. He has put us into a recession, although most of our leaders will deny it and tell us we aren't at that point. All we have to do is look at the way our cities, towns, and states stand at job losses or housing foreclosures, and you will see that some of them are in one. With everything else, our country's pride is not as strong in some people's hearts as it used to be. It used to be that if your country needed you to fight for it, you would have jumped at the opportunity, but that was when they believed in our leader doing the right thing. Now we are faced with the losses of many lives that might not have had to happen. It was for the right reason but was done the wrong way and maybe even for the wrong country.
