A Wedding Photographer's View On Stolen Moments Before The Wedding

Published by Christine OKelly in Hobbies, 1 month 3 weeks 11 hours 58 minutes 7 seconds ago

One important decision couples often have difficulty deciding on is whether they should see each other before the ceremony. For an experienced wedding photographer, it doesn't make much of a difference. The wedding photography will be able to capture that once in a lifetime moment whether they meet on the aisle, before the ceremony, or use a creative plan to spend a few stolen moments together without seeing each other. All three situations make for images that speak well into the ages.

Waiting Until The Ceremony

Superstitions wound in tradition say the bride and groom seeing each other before the ceremony bodes ill for the marriage. While this is very likely untrue, it does cause those with traditional beliefs to get a little upset. On the bright side, the wedding photographer gets the opportunity to catch the expressions on both of their faces when they see each other for the first time.

Depending on the skill level and the number of experts you have capturing these moments, it might also mean missing the initial expressions of either the bride or groom. In some cases, wedding photography can be taken by two or more experts at the ceremony to make sure everything is caught on film. Meeting Before The Ceremony

Stolen moments before the ceremony can be a very special time for the couple. Keeping this moment private gives both a chance to ease their stress load. It helps to alleviate cold feet by allowing the couple to have some intimate moments together. It takes away from the surprise during the first few minutes of the ceremony, but the wedding photography can still capture these priceless moments.

Before the big day, make arrangements to meet in a garden or green space in the area, a private room, or just outside of the venue. If the couple would still like to share these feelings with your closest family and friends, have them seated before the event and do a 'practice run'. The wedding photography can be taken by the expert simply by allowing him to lurk a distance away.

In-Between Options If the couple is looking for a compromise that will satisfy both sides of the debate, it may be time to get a little creative. From a photographic expert's point of view, this option is sometimes the best. The soon-to-be-married pair can talk and exchange gifts on either side of a large blanket, a door, or could meet while both of them are blindfolded. This is a great chance for the entire party to have some fun.

Whether or not to see each other before their ceremony is a big decision for couples whether they from a small town or a major center like Chicago. Wedding photographer and videographers should be able to preserve these amazing moments regardless of what choice they make. What really matters is that the two of them make a decision they are completely happy with. After all, this is what the wedding photographer sees through the lens.
