With the new generation of consoles now permanently competing against each other, the Nintendo Wii looks as though it is storming full speed ahead. The reason for this is simply because the innovation that it has brought to the current market with the affordable price that it has placed on its console.
Basically the Nintendo Wii has brought a whole new aspect to gaming, instead of now just sitting and staring at the screen, you can become part of the game, jump straight into the action with its advanced ranged of motion sensing technology.
But this being said there are still some other important aspects as to why people love this console, we will now take a closer look at them.
First and foremost the Wii is now bringing back the good old family fun; the games do not just cater for a certain age sector. They supply fun for any age, size and gender. A family can now gather around the console and enjoy laughs and tears around this new gaming generation. This is a major selling point of the console and Nintendo know it, which is why you constantly see TV ads about families playing together. Another reason for the consoles popularity is down to it bringing back the old titles. Games have got way to serious these days, not only that but olden games were much more enjoyable. The Wii has capability of connecting to the internet so that you can download and play all of the old titles.
Since the Nintendo Wii launched in 2007 is has outsold all of its major competitors including Microsoft's Xbox console and Sony's Play station 3. Its sale amount reached $30 million, which is double that of there competitors.
Another major selling point with the Wii is that it is the smallest games console that has to date been offered by Nintendo. This in fact is another major advantage over its competitors, as it becomes much more portable.
If you are looking to get yourself a gaming console, then I definitely feel that the Nintendo Wii has the greatest offering. Although the Xbox and the Play station 3 has the better graphics, the Nintendo Wii can still perform at very high quality, for example just look at the titles that have been released on all three of the consoles, once compared to each other, you probably will not see a huge difference.
